Justin Bieber has experienced the many highs of fame, what with chart-topping albums, a blockbuster movie, sold-out tours and a dedicated fanbase. But on his 17th birthday, the star also came face-to-face with the one main drawback of being a celebrity: the onslaught of the paparazzi.

While Bieber was celebrating his birthday in Los Angeles on Tuesday, the star and his lady, teen queen Selena Gomez, were surrounded by paparazzi while leaving Maggiano's Little Italy restaurant, Popeater reported. In the heat of the moment, Bieber gave the hungry photogs the middle finger, while Gomez shielded her face from their flashing cameras.

Bieber later took to Twitter to clear the air about the incident and apologize for reacting the way he did. "Had a great bday and at the end of the night we got surrounded by paps and I reacted in a way I know better. I'm sorry #killthemwithkindness," he shared, adding, "It's not always easy but I know better than to react in anger."

Shortly after that, rumors began to surface that Gomez was shielding her face from the many camera lenses because she had allegedly been punched by an angry Bieber fan over her relationship with the pop star. The Twitter trend #sorryjustin had some speculating that fans were apologizing for that one fan's incident with the actress/singer.

But Gomez's rep told People.com that there's "absolutely no truth" to any of that. Photos from the night do, however, show what appears to be an injury of some kind on Gomez's lip.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez hit Twitter over the weekend and the world let out a collective, "Awwww!"

The Biebs, who recently took his act to Europe for his tour, seemed like he was missing his lady love and was not afraid to show it. On Sunday, he tweeted this simple message for Gomez: "I miss you."

Selena didn't let the post go unnoticed, as she very publicly responded to her beau's online note just hours later. "I miss all of y'all," she wrote.

When he wasn't busy flirting with his lady on Twitter, Bieber was busy tweeting a series of lyrical snippets from Drake songs after posting a note that read, "favorite drizzy lines." He also solicited fans' favorite lines from the Canadian MC's tracks.

Among the Drake tracks Bieber tweeted quotes from were "Successful," "Shut It Down," "The Resistance" and "Over."

"I want it all thats y I strive 4 it, Diss me and you'll never hear a reply 4 it," he wrote. "This lost boy got fly without Peter Pan and my delivery just got me buzzing like the pizza man ... You feel the hours pass until you find somethin' I feel like when she moves, the time doesn't ... That's word to the millions that they puttin' up I'm tryna be better than good enough ... I could teach you how to speak my language; [Rosetta] Stone I swear this life is like the sweetest thing I've ever known."

In addition, Bieber took time to thank his fans for all their support and also shared his latest plans for his look. After causing a stir recently when he cut his hair, Justin revealed that he intended to undergo another hair-related style change. "Im not shaving for a month so you all can see my mustache... im pumped," he shared.

See Robert Pattinson's 'Playgirl' Cover!

See Robert Pattinson's 'Playgirl' Cover!

Yes, that is Robert Pattinson on the cover of the UK edition of Playgirl. But before you go and get all flustered, you should know that there are no naked shots of the Twilight actor in this issue.

Writer Andy Bright sings the tuxedo-clad Pattinson's praises, insisting that the actor has enough appeal fully-clothed to earn the cover honor.

"His youthful good looks have earned him top spot as world's sexiest male, highest paid (British) actor, and even a slot in Time Magazine's '100 Most Influential People in the World,'" he writes.

But if you're still craving some serious skin from the 24-year-old actor, Pattinson says you should be sure to check out his upcoming movie, Bel Ami.

"I think there's quite a bit of nudity," he told MTV of his role as the womanizing Georges Duroy in 1890s Paris. "I think there's a lot of my crack in it!"

NEW YORK — Justin Bieber's wax statues are here! Three statues were unveiled at Madame Tussauds wax museums around the world, in New York, Amsterdam and London. Bieber was on hand in London to catch a glimpse of his wax likeness. And, as promised, the statues feature Bieber's old, swooping hairstyle.

At the London unveiling, Bieber tweeted about how excited he was for the wax statues. "Arrived at @tussaudslondon to see my WAX figure!! the 1st time i saw a wax figure was in nyc and all we could do was look thru the glass," he wrote. "Now we are here in London and they r about to show my figure here and in amsterdam and in nyc at the one we looked thru the glass. #DREAMBIG."

Bieber's statue in New York is featured alongside his pal and mentor Usher in the VIP room. The NYC Bieber statue is wearing a black vest by will.i.am and pants by Balenciaga. The clothes were donated by Bieber himself. MTV News was on hand at the New York unveiling, where fans eagerly caught a glimpse of their idol's figurine.

So how accurate is the wax figure? "It's pretty good. I love Justin Bieber, and this is pretty hot," gushed Libby Walker, who said she also attended the Miley Cyrus wax-figure unveiling in 2008. "He cut his hair recently, so it's not exactly the same, but I like his hair. A lot of girls like it more with the hair flip. It's such an honor to be here to support him."

"I'm honored to be getting my own wax figures," Bieber previously said about joining fellow pop stars like Taylor Swift and the Jonas Brothers at Madame Tussauds. "To be immortalized in wax alongside some of my idols — Michael Jackson, Prince, Beyoncé and my mentor, Usher — is incredibly exciting and very cool."

LeAnn Rimes Defends Her Super-Skinny Frame

LeAnn Rimes Defends Her Super-Skinny Frame

Many brides-to-be lose pounds before the wedding, either because they're intentionally dieting for the dress or because all that stress is taking a toll. But has LeAnn Rimes taken her pre-wedding diet a little too far?

Rimes, who has been engaged to Eddie Cibrian since February, seems to have lost a somewhat shocking amount of weight in the past several months. The svelte singer is known for her buff body, which has landed her the cover of Shape Magazine no fewer than three times. However, in paparazzi pictures taken recently, Rimes's curves and muscles seem to have given way to skin and bones. What happened?

Absolutely nothing, says Rimes. As usual, the singer-actress is defending herself against the tabloids on her Twitter account. Her defense: the photos are misleading.

"Maybe it's time for a nude pic so peeps can see how I look nowhere near what these stupid pics are trying to make me look like, LOL," Rimes tweeted on Wednesday, making sure to add the hashtag "joke" afterwards.

When fans pointed out that the pictures do make her look extremely skinny, Rimes responded by saying she looks nothing like that in person. Also, she says, she eats all the time.

In fact, she's been writing about how much she eats almost non-stop since those photos appeared. She's tweeted about eating dill cheese curds, steak with chili at a hotel, fresh-baked cookies on an airplane. She even posted a photo of her ham-and-egg breakfast (though no evidence that she actually consumed it). And if you want to hear her talk about how much she eats, she does it here, here, here and here.

We want to believe LeAnn Rimes when she says she's healthy -- we really do. But why is she protesting so much? If she's doing just fine and it's a misleading photo, why not just post a new photo (nudity optional) and be done with it? Either she's overcompensating, or she's taking all that gossip way too much to heart. Rimes can write,"I don't care about the dumb articles" as many times as she wants -- but her Twitter account says otherwise.
