Lady Gaga, Pink, Mariah Carey To Appear On New PETA Billboard

The ad — part of the organization's 'Fur-Free and Fabulous' campaign — will be unveiled Tuesday in L.A.

Sure, Lady Gaga's infamous "meat dress" may have drawn the ire of PETA, but that hasn't stopped the animal-rights organization from featuring her — along with fellow icons Pink and Mariah Carey — on a brand-new billboard, set to be unveiled Tuesday in Los Angeles.

It's part of PETA's "Fur-Free and Fabulous" campaign, and, despite the fallout over her Video Music Awards outfit, Gaga was chosen because, as PETA puts it in a press release, "Her anti-fur stance ... has been unwavering."

"Gaga's out-there outfits never include real fur," the statement continued. "Last year, when she wore a dress made of fluffy Kermit the Frog dolls, [she] explained, 'I thought it was commentary on not wearing fur, 'cause I hate fur and don't wear fur.' "

PETA also selected Pink and Carey for the billboard — which will be raised on the corner of Sunset Boulevard and La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles — because of their longtime anti-fur stances. Pink, who recently co-starred with comedian Ricky Gervais in PETA's "Stolen for Fashion" video short, once allegedly called out Beyoncé for wearing fur, and Carey famously donated a pair of full-length Russian sable coats she had received as gifts to PETA, who, in turn, gave them to homeless women at their winter "fur kitchen" event.

With the new billboard, Gaga, Pink and Carey join a list of stars who have teamed with the organization to come out against fur. Last year's "Fur-Free and Fabulous" ad featured Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey.

While Willow Smith is the one who made music headlines with "Whip My Hair" last year, it's her brother, "Karate Kid" actor Jaden Smith, who will take the stage at the upcoming 53rd Grammy Awards in a special performance alongside Usher and Justin Bieber, with whom he collaborated on the song "Never Say Never" last summer.

The trio joins a list of new performers added to the show on Thursday (January 20) that will also include another power trifecta made up of B.o.B, Bruno Mars and Janelle Monáe, according to a press release from the Recording Academy announcing the additions to the February 13 telecast from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Also taking the stage next month will be nominees Muse and Lady Antebellum. They will join a roster of previously announced performers that includes Eminem, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Arcade Fire, Cee Lo Green and Miranda Lambert. It will be the first time on the Grammy performance stage for Bieber, B.o.B, Lambert, Mars, Monáe, Muse and Smith. Eminem, Green, Gaga, Perry, Usher and Lady Antebellum will be making return visits for the occasion.

While 11-time Grammy winner Eminem leads the pack in nominations this year (with 10 nods), Mars has seven nominations, and Gaga and Lady Antebellum are not far behind with six nods each. B.o.B has notched five, Perry and Green are each up for four, and Arcade Fire and Lambert are vying for three awards. Bieber, Muse, Usher and Monáe are each nominated for two Grammys.

No details of the collaborative performances were released, but the Grammy announcement promised a rare, never-before-seen event for the Mars, B.o.B and Monáe segment.

With the addition of Antebellum, all five Album of the Year nominees (Eminem, Arcade Fire, Gaga, Perry) are now scheduled to perform on the show. Additional performers, presenters and special segments will be announced soon.

Justin Bieber May Pass On 'New Year's Eve' Role

Director Garry Marshall reportedly wants him in ensemble flick if they can work scheduling out.

With the opening of his 3-D flick "Never Say Never" about a week away, now comes news that Justin Bieber may have found his next big-screen project. It seems that "New Year's Eve" director Garry Marshall is hankering to get Bieber on-board for a role in the star-filled flick.

But according to E! News, the chances of it happening seem dimmer as production draws closer. "They tried, but it doesn't look like they're going to be able to make it work because of scheduling," a source says of the casting rumor.

Last year, Marshall spoke to MTV News about trying to line up the superstar for a cameo in the film, revealing that he had to brush up on his Bieber knowledge.

"Already, they're mentioning Justin Bieber," said Marshall, who gave Taylor Swift a role in last year's "Valentine's Day." "I have no idea who that is, but I'm sure we'll meet. Perhaps I'd better see who he is, so when he arrives on set, possibly [we can talk]. So we'll see."

Of course even if Marshall's Bieber fever gets extinguished, there are plenty of other big names on-board for the ensemble film, including Katherine Heigl (who just replaced Halle Berry), Jessica Biel, Jon Bon Jovi, Abigail Breslin, Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, Ashton Kutcher, Seth Meyers, Lea Michele, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michelle Pfeiffer, Til Schweiger, Sienna Miller, Hilary Swank, Sofia Vergara, Ryan Seacrest and Ice Cube.

"I'm starting a movie in a couple of weeks called 'New Year's Eve,' with Garry Marshall. It's got a great cast," Efron told MTV News recently. "My scenes are with Michelle Pfeiffer. Yeah, not a bad co-star."

'Never Say Never' Director Says Justin Bieber Haters Have Come Around

'People will make fun of you, but now they truly have the fever,' Jon Chu tells MTV News.

Those who pay close attention to the trembling, always-excitable pulse of Justin Bieber fans (like we do) likely know that February 11 is a very special day: the release date of "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never."

But for the rest of the world, those who don't have young kids, particularly daughters, or who've yet to be stricken with Bieber fever, the idea that a full-length feature film has been made about a curiously coiffed 16-year-old pop star is a bit of a head-scratcher.

No one understands those confused sentiments more than Jon Chu, who directed the film (as well as "Step Up: 3D"). When MTV News caught up with him recently to talk about his filmmaking adventure with the Biebs, we asked him what kind of harassment he got from his friends when he signed onto the project.

"There's always people [giving me flak], whether it's the 'Step Up' movies, dance movies or the Justin Bieber movie," he said. "People will make fun of you, but now they truly have the fever, for sure," Chu said of his friends who've since come to understand the power of the teen phenom. "Since [I signed on], he's won four American Music Awards, including Artist of the Year, he's nominated for two Grammys he's on the cover of Vanity Fair, and I think they've fallen for him as well."

Chu also explained that Bieber's story is just plain inspirational, haters or no.

"Especially for this generation of kids, [it's important to show] that they could make it on their own without a big corporation," Chu added. "I thought it was an exciting way to tell it: through his music."

Britney Spears Doesn't Channel Lady Gaga In 'Hold It Against Me' Video

Brit may be working with 'Telephone' director Jonas Åkerlund, but choreographer Brain Friedman debunks possible comparisons.

Just because Britney Spears is working with "Telephone" director Jonas Åkerlund and his stylist wife B. Åkerlund for the "Hold It Against Me" video does not mean that the clip will mirror Lady Gaga and Beyoncé's extravaganza. Spears' choreographer, Brian Friedman, said the video is all Britney.

"The styling for this video is beyond what Britney has done before," he teased. "B. Åkerlund did the styling for it, and I can say that it is not 'Britney does Gaga.' That is not what's happening with this. Gaga has her own niche, and although B. has worked with Gaga before, she's not giving Britney anything that Gaga would wear. I love seeing Britney try out new things. It's just an extension of what Britney already is."

With potential Gaga comparisons debunked, Friedman talked about having fun with Spears on set and helping her regain that joie de vivre that fans have come to know and love when she's out on the dance floor.

"One of the places that we always tend to improve with Britney is on her beauty shots, when it's just Britney alone dancing," he said. "And one of the little tricks that I like to do is stand right off camera and scream words at her to try and get motivation from her and coach her through the little scenario that she's in, so we did that in this video. And I know there was a picture posted of a bunch of microphones around her face, and that's one of the scenes in particular where I was screaming at her on the side — in a good way."

So, what does he scream at her? "Tiger! I scream tiger," he dished. "When we first started working and I had her back in the studio, I was referring to how she danced when we were working together in the past, when we were doing 'Slave,' 'Toxic,' like some of those things. She used to have a prowl about her and an attack that to me was like a tiger, so I kept telling her, 'I want to see the tiger back,' " he revealed. "I scream the word 'tiger,' so 'tiger' seems to work. It makes her laugh, so it works."
